Nadene Pita

Indigenous, improviser, composer and multi-instrumentalist using vocals, viola, orchestral strings and traditional Māori instruments to make experimental jazz and global, creative music.

 

Nadene Pita is of Māori and Irish descent, born in Aotearoa (New Zealand). She grew up in Australia and is based in Los Angeles, an awardee of a 2023 Emerging Artist Fellowship from the California Arts Council.
