Healing Arts Facilitator

Nadene's impact extends to music, performing arts education and healing-centered arts services, where she shares her years of experience as a music, dance and meditation teacher, serving underserved communities including Chinatown, Koreatown, Downtown and Inglewood in Los Angeles, working with nonprofit organizations Youth Orchestra LA, Education Through Music-LA. and Let's Dance It Out.

She holds a Masters degree in Cross-Cultural Contemporary Improvisation and a Certificate in Social Emotional Arts (SEA) from UCLA's Arts and Healing Initiative. This allows her to research and identify the specific needs of communities, then design programs that will have the greatest impact for them. Intergenerational communities are of particular focus in her current work, bringing families and communities together in meaningful ways while addressing the particular needs of each group. Narrative change, through music, mindfulness and creative writing, storytelling, visual art, dance, theater and film are mediums that can draw people together, offer hope, joy, strength and purpose.

Past students include Eloise Wong, from The Linda Lindas and Anthony Gonzalez who starred as Miguel in the Disney / Pixar movie, "Coco". She is committed to providing the highest quality, accessible arts for all.
